I hear you. Which raises the question: What's the timeframe for adding some kind of DXS support to CDJ? In light of the foregoing, it would be great if the software could have an option for throwing a player into "Pause" mode briefly as part of switching over. You might want to let the length of the pause be a variable set in microseconds or something, so that people can tinker to get a setting that works with their amp.
