Adding Serial Ports

I am attempting to add two serial ports to my HP Pavillian computer with no luck.

I've done the IRQ thing and there are no conflicts. My CMOS only allows for the COM1 port that is physically located on the motherboard. I have tried everything with no luck. I can get COM3 to install at IRQ3 but when I go to the device manager the symbol for COM3 has a very small "I" superimposed on it.

I can not get CDJ to recognize Slinke on COM3 but it works wonderfully on COM1. I need Slinke on COM3 since I have my CM11a on COM1. COM2 is my modem.

Help!!!!!!!
