Just so that everyone knows, the 850 does not have a bidirectional Slink port (a Control-A) port. It has a simple in only slink port that will accept baseband IR commands. CDJ can not talk to it since it wants a response. The 850 has another port which is a control-A port, however that is to control a slaved CD player.

Sony really blew it on this unit. Don't get me wrong, I like the unit and I have it fully integrated into my system. I am just not using CDJ to deal with it. I deal with it out of the slink IR port using low level commands. The slink IR port connects to a Xantech IR network and talks to any/all devices that need IR as input. Most of these are directly connected to the network and do not use emitters. The only one that needs an emitter now is TiVo.
