The device file from EZ-Lean can only send IR, not recieve. The device files that come with CDJ can both send and recieve. If that is a sony VCR, load the sonyir.cde file as a device. Turn on logging in CDJ, then push the IR button on your remote control, remember what order you pushed them in. Then view the log file. You will see a lines that will say somthing like nomatchir[sony]xxxxxxxxxxxx the x's will be the string of binary that goes to that IR command. Copy and past this into the device file, then put a : after it, and the name of the command, like :play.

This is a pretty rough way of describing how to make the file, there are better versions posted in the BBS archives.
