My CX250 would pass DTS before it broke. *Very* few CD players don't pass DTS. I'd bet a large amount of money that your CX255 will pass it.

What about your config on the MC-1? Go into the Setup/Input Config for the source in question and check the FX Format option. If it's PCM Only then that's your problem. Change it to Automatic and it should detect it properly. If not, try DTS Only to force it to detect DTS.
