Slink-e / CDJ Discussion Archive #6 Re: Sony PCX300 Device File?Posted By: Richard <rbrocaw@f...> In Response To: Re: Sony PCX300 Device File? (David Aue)
I do have the latest software, and have tried both cdsls.cde and cdpcx200.cde and the response files that go along with them. Maybe the problem is that I am not using CDJ, but my own custom program using the activeX control. Does CDJ dynamically change the vanilla file in some way to accomodate the 300 disc changers? Example: When using Control A1 II Command: play Response: play Command: >>| Response: nothing Player goes from one track to another Response: nothing When using Control A1 Command: play Response: FE010742, indicating the disk number (which is always FE for disc slots over 200, and indicating the track number and track time for the track. Command: >>| Response: FE020725, indicating next track etc. This response also comes back when the player finishes a track and starts the next one. In order for my software to tell what the player is doing, I need the responses from the player, which I don't see if using Control A1 II. The only thing I can think of is that the responses must have a different format in Control A1II than in Control A1. What does CDJ do that I am not? Richard rbrocaw@flash.net (I may give you a call on Monday, if that would be OK... I know I could just quit this and use CDJ, but I already have a detailed database of almost 600 CDs and do not want to rebuild it with CDJ)
