Flaky Behavior With New Receiver

I'm getting a flaky interaction between CDJ and a new Sony STR-DE835 receiver I just hooked up. When connected into the CDJ/Slink-e loop, the receiver is prone to switch inputs from whatever it's supposed to be playing to VIDEO2. Nothing is hooked up to VIDEO2. When I unplug the cable that connects the receiver to Slink-e, the problem stops. This suggests to me that from CDJ or Slink-e, the receiver is getting a signal to switch inputs, or misinterpreting some other signal as a signal to switch. This is, needless to say, a big problem, since the music is prone to just stop in the middle of a playlist.

I'm using a slightly older version of CDJ, namely build 1.30.0.1681. Can anybody offer a theory as to what is happening and how to fix it? I do not have the receiver defined as a device under CDJ at this point, but I intend to, and intend to set it up to come on and switch to CD input whenever CDJ is running. So it's essential to get this problem resolved. Appreciate any help.
