I have been using Slink-e for about 2 years. I have had zero problems that were not of my own making. The Slink only runs the CD changer, and hopefully will also run the new DVD megachanger. The PC that runs CDJ is the complete control for my home theater, and is integrated into the system withg only the monitor showing. Pictures of the setup are on the WWW if you are interested.
CDJ is always running but is never seen. The PC deals with CDJ through the automation interface. The user deals with the PC (and ultimately CDJ and the Changers) through a Pronto remote. The PC controls all other devices through IR, RS232 and X10. It is a poor mans Crestron, with much more flexibility. It all started with the slink-e.
