1) Once the DXS is switched to a particular input, it is "transparent" and will pass any digital signals, DD included.

2) If you don't need to modify SCMS data, you probably wouldn't have any use for it.

3) The DSP would be able to set the outgoing SCMS data, so you wouldn't need both, you probably won't see the DSP module for 6 months though.
