A couple of main points: 1. As described in the serial level interface docs, the slink-e uses 8-bit binary communications. You cannot send appropriate commands / data using just visible ASCII characters. 2. The Control-S port is shared with IR TX port 7. It is just for sending. You could receive Control-S data if you connect it to a IR RX port. 3. Since the Control-S port is actually an IR port, you must use IR commands to communicate with it. This means that you will provide the raw waveform timing information instead of the simply the data bits as is done with the Control-A1 ports. Colby
