Long 'phono' cable runs....

I want to move my CD players out from the living room into my study where my PC and Slinke are located but I'm a bit concerned that the length of cable run would be a problem. I am just using the ordinary line out of each player and the distance involved is about 30 meters.

I thought one option would be to use an audio line driver which lets you use cat 5 cable instead but these cost about £100 a pair so I only want to get them if there would be a noticeable improvement in sound quality. Does anyone have any experience of either method, long 'phono' cable runs or using these line drivers.
