Hardware Suggestions

Hi. I've been using the SLINKE now for about 10 hours in total, and I LOVE IT! I think it's awesome! It's what I was looking for a year ago when I wanted to automate my entire system! I do have a few requests, tho, and yes, I'll admit they're kinda whimpy, but it would make my job as an equipment integrator (read Home Theater Installer) all that much easier:

Suggestion 1: Multi-colored boxes for the IR RX units (also different styles: Think Light Switch instead of Phone Switch: More easily recessed! :o) )

Suggestion 2: Fibre Optic IR TX units: Consists of a TX unit (an IR led-in-a-box), connected to the SLINKE (or expansion port). The IR led-in-a-box has a small fiber optic line that comes out about 3 feet that ends in a flat tapered end that actually redirects the IR data into the device's IR sensor. The tapered part would need to contain a prism AND be transparent enough (or small enough) to allow outside IR transmissions to go through it. (Think clear, but dark/smoked plastic).

Suggestion 3: How about creating a simple ANALOG mixer, but fadeable via CDJ? Say, with 6 inputs?

Again, thanks for a killer device! I showed my boss over the weekend and he LOVED it! He's now thinking about showing clients SONY stuff instead of just HarmonKardon and BARCOS! :)
