My experience with cheap mixers (especially in the price range you're talking about) is that they degrade the signal-to-noise ration *significantly* by adding a lot of noise.
You're spending a fair amount getting multiple changers, don't make them all sound like cassette players by pumping them though some radio shack contraption.
