Ok, I found this one. I thought that if you were using only IR0, you did not need to plug in the modular jack, that the build in IR port would do it. WRONG! The build in IR0 port is a apparently a recieve only port. Once the external modular box was plugged back in, the amp controls are workin now. Slowly gettin the hang of this thing. For any other newbie out there, the naming convention is "rx" or "r" indicates a signal in to the slinke, "tx" or "t" is for anything being transmitted out. Obvious, after you know it.
