New Sony 300 disc players

Hi all,

According to Sony's web site at www.sel.sony.com, they have released a couple of new CD changers, both capable of storing 300 cds. I was about to buy another 200 disc changer to join my CX260 and SLINKE, but the 300 disc changers look pretty good.

The higher end of the two models is called the CDP-CX350 and has a MSRP of $480.00 A couple of neat features not previously found in this mid-price model is a two-way LCD "Remote Commander" which "puts disc and track names right in the palm of your hand", and the ability to store track names.

As usual, though, the information on Sony's web site is on the sparse side, so I wondered if anyone might know more about these new units. In particular, I want to know:

1) Has sony improved the disc/title storage beyond 13 or 16 characters? What is the maximum length of disc names/titles on the CX350?

2) Are both the disc names and title names actually stored in the remote (as disc names are on the 260 and 88), or are they only displayed when the CD is loaded?

3) Has anyone seen these for sale anywhere? I tried both Good Guys and Crutchfield - neither had a clue.

4) Finally, and most importantly: Are these supported by CDJ?
