Slinke-X and DCOM

Has anyone played around with using SLINK-X server with DCOM. I have a LAN in my home on which we run NetBuei as the protocol as opposed to TCP/IP. There are no domain controllers, or other MS type auxiliary servers. All of the systemns run Win 98. One of the machines controls the mnedia romm and the Sony CD jukebox via the Slink server. I have not been able to figure out how to configure DCOM so it does not try to go for a user server, or how to set up a file to act as a user server. When I configure the DCOM system it tries to constantly attach to the Internet ISP. I can kill the connection, but I can't seem to get things to operate. DCOM semms to want a real Microsoft network in place for it to operate. Has any one any experience with this ?
