Resolved Problems with Sony DSS Sat A2

I was not having any luck controlling my Sony Sat-A2 via the control-s input.

It turns out that the control-s input is disabled whenever the unit is in RF only mode. When I changed the unit to be IR only, I could control it with the control-S input.

I'd hoped it worked like by Sony TV. On the TV, the control-S output echoed any IR command the TV received (less carrier). I use this feature to eliminate the need for a seperate IR receiver in my family room. The Sony TV has it built in!

I'd hoped the Sony Sat A2 would similarly echo received RF commands to its control-s output. Instead, it just outputs a logic 1 whenever RF is being received and is unresponsive to control-s input when in RF mode.
