I have essentially the same question.

The salesman at Best Buy said the low end models don't support text. He said they don't even support text across the slink interface, but I'm not sure whether he really knows.

Any comments on what features are irrelevant if the changer is buried in a closet (where the display isn't visible anyway and the control is via PC and CDJ) would be greatly appreciated.
