Believe it or not, I am no DCOM expert. I basically wrote a COM interface between SlinkX and SlinkeServ and get the DCOM functionality for free. The are some nicer setup options I could add to make my software DCOM-aware, but these will only work in NT. DCOM can be slow, but shouldn't be noticeable when using SlinkeServ because of the very small amount of data passing back and forth. I leave my server slinkeserv.exe running all of the time, so things start up fairly quickly. I think the ultimate solution is to wait for a sockets interface. Colby Responses To This Message
