One quirk in the current versions is that you need to change your album selection in the library to register the changes you've made in the disc info window (which includes the image). If you added an image to just one album and quit without changing your selection, it wouldn't be saved. Is this what might be happening to you? Otherwise, it seems to save for me. I'm going to add the *.jpg to the file search now....
