I have probably done as many disc loads as anyone, and I have never had a jam. Maybe I'm just lucky, but my guess is that it is a player alignment issue more than a software control one. Searching for discs is just going to manifest this problem more rapidly. As far as I've seen, all of the player transports are identical, so they should be equally likely to fail, unless there is some fault in the control code which is specific to certain units. I don't have a CX270 around here, but I have been borrowing the controller-identical 90ES for the last month or so, and it doesn't seem to jam either. I could certainly slow down the disc search process, but I really doubt that this will prevent jamming, if you have that problem. P.S. I *have* had jams subsequent to moving the players if I forget to remove the disc in the playback transport. Responses To This Message
