I agree on the idea of going cheap on the players and spending the extra on the DAC. I have 3 CX250s connected to a Rotel RDP980 DAC. The Rotel has 4 optical and 4 coaxial inputs and is IR remote controllable. I'm using the 4th optical input for my Sony DSS.
