Thanks for the suggestion. I tried this using 1110 as the prefix and 00001 as the suffix, but could not get any response. I did however find that the STR-G3 sent a 9022hex everytime on of the buttons on the front was pushed (ie video1, sat, cd etc). That's the query of the CD player for its type. So at least I know its connected to the slinke correctly.
This receiver is one of the Visiontouch receivers that does not have an IR remote, but uses an "air mouse" in conjunction with a TV screen. I'm beinging to think that none of the slink input commands was implemented, so I may not be able to control it by any means other than the air mouse/tv interface.
