Basic setup of CDJ and slink-e to control Sony CDP CX240

I am a new owner of of Sony CDP CX240 and happened uopn the Nirvis Web Site. All of the information I have read about CDJ and Slink-e sounds really great. However, I need a basic installation scenario given my situation:

1. My PC is upstairs and I would like to use CDJ to control the 200 disk sony player in my first floor den.

2. How do the remotes interact with CDJ

3. What would be the most logical connection.

I don't mean to be simplistic but need some help understanding the basic set up.
