SlinkX feature request, I think

...I'm not so interested in using the ActiveX control to send events, so much as monitor them. I want to write a web page that'll show the currently playing CD on my system.
Maybe I'm just clueless (a real possibility), but I can't find a way to check the state of cd players using SlinkX. I'd like to be able to get play/pause, and disc/track/time info.
Any ideas?
