IR frequency for remote??

I have a remote that I'm trying to learn the codes from and I can't seem to get it to. The remote (RCU 800) is for a BarcoData 800 projector. I'm assuming that it is an odd frequency, but I don't know how to find out what that frequency is. There doesn't seem to be anything in the owner's manual about it and I'm not getting any response from Barco.
