Had a go with the updated upload and got it to work with some hacking, but there is a slight timing problem.

It looks like the commands are being sent out too quickly for the player, which seems to need fractionally extra time when moving into input mode for artist and at some other points.

So the beginning of the script changes from:

That this is a timing problem seems to be re-inforced by the fact that I need to increase this needs 4 cd:1 events when the IR is set to CD1 and only 2 cd:1 events when the IR is set to CD2 or CD3 (I did this by hacking the cde file).

Is there any way to change the upload test to allow me to tweak the timing?

There is a related problem, that may cause problems if the timing is relaxed. After two or three IR commands that the last IR command on the bus gets repeated continuously even though there is no activity light on the slink-e.

So, stripping the script down to:

cd:disc cd:1 cd:memo_input
cd:down_arrow

The player loops through artist, group, track 1, track 2, etc merrily off into the distance.

Is it possible for you to explicitly clear down the bus after each IR event? Or is there any other way for me to investigate the problem?
