It's possible that the one player is twitchy, but since it was the first one, I loaded it up with all of my oldest and least reliable (and, of course, favorite) discs. I've had trouble with some of these discs in other units over the years.

I just swapped out half of the discs into another player, to improve the dispersion of similar discs for making continuous playlists, so I'll be able to see if the problem is isolated to the first player or if it follows those discs around.
