Huh - those are exactly the two models I have...

I have successfully downloaded text to the 250 by emulating button presses on
the remote, through the S-link port. (Anybody else notice that the "u" and "v"
are in reverse order when pressing the "8" key? :-)

It's rather slow, as I have to leave a pause between each "key press" (or else
things get very confused), but it does work.

The 153 only supports memo input using the shuttle dial and I haven't been able
to get any of the shuttle key-codes to work on it. I think memo text downloading
is a lost cause on that box.

As far as uploading text from the changer, I'm pretty sure that the "get memo
text" s-link command works on the 250 - but I can't recall if it worked on the
153...
