wireless serial connection--solved

A friend of mine has found the product I've been looking for. It's called InfoWave from Innomedia and available from www.techstore.com for $191, which includes shipping. It has both a host and remote unit and can be used to connect either two PCs, or a PC and a device (like the Slink-e). Works under both 95/98 and NT. It operates at a maximum speed of 83 Kbps and at a maximum distance of 800 feet (they say it's more like 300 feet for a typical indoor application) using spread spectrum technology. A perfect solution to my problem.
I've got it ordered and should have it in a few days. If there's interest I'll post a review when it's hooked up and running.
