Re: Quick features requests

Hell of a product. The new interface is a nice.
(Current config: Slink-e 2.0 + cx220 + 250)
Other requests/comments:

1. It would be nice if the playlist scrolled with the song being played so that you can always see what the current item is.

2. Second the request for mini-disc titling, but you'll need to wait for one of us to build the IR code dev file with all the particulars and document the procedure, then it should be pretty straight forward.

3. A great interface in the slink viewer window would be to dynamically populate a drop down menu of all setup devices (from the device option panel) and then dynamically populate a menu with a list of all commands for the chosen device from the device file so you don't have to remember all the specific names of the commands to issue. This would also serve as a great general purpose remote control.

4. There's a lot of unused toolbar space (at higher resolutions). A simple interface to add buttons and connect to actions would be great and very general purpose.

5. Resized Column widths and toolbar positions in the playlist window aren't saved.

6. Sometimes(75%) when restarting the application while a CD is playing (mostly due to needing to restart after an application crash) it will cause the CD player to stop. Sometimes it keeps on playing.

7. It would be nice to optionally remove/ignore the word "the" and "A" from the beginning of CD titles for the purpose of sorting alphabetically. (Half my Eagles CD's are under "Eagles" the other half "The Eagles" , I've edited them by hand for now)

8. No pausing between consecutive songs on the same CD.

9. The optimize function could realize that if a list has N songs from player X and < N songs from player Y that a song from player X should always be first to maxmize the alternation between players. Also it could realize that if there are uneven # of songs from 2 players but multiple songs from a single disk in the player with the majority of songs to play the multiple songs consecutively to further minimize the dreaded between song pause.

Wishlist things (All discussed before,just wanted to get my vote in)

10. A Screensaver mode that displayed the currently playing song and elapsed time (in a large font) and what the next song was. ( I frequently use this as a shuffled playlist with a few hours of music on a PC across the room or during a party and it would be great to see what was on/next without having to go to the PC)

11. Automatic image retrieval of some sort.

12. Automated MP3 generation from the CD players. (other hardware likely neccesary)
