This is probably because you have specified a relative path instead of an absolute one to your CD library (eg "mylib.lib" instead of "c:\karl\nirvis\lib\mylib.lib")

In windows programs the default directory changes as you browse around (as you probably were when searching for your images). I could probably make some improvements on my end also to get the full path at startup if it's not specified.

BTW, it's much faster to drag-and-drop images than to search for them using the browse button.

Also, I still use the BMP images over the JPEGs for the fast loading (that way you can scroll through your library at 10 images / sec or faster)
