No, maybe I did not understand the problem. On my system I have a digital output from my Receiver to the Sound card and seperate Digital Outputs from the sound card and CD player to the Receiver. When I first hooked it up, the MP3 were louder than the CDs when played. So I adjusted the MP3 output level on the computer to match the level of the CDs. Overall I am very pleased with using 30 ft Optical cables, as my computer is in a seperate room.
