1. Yes. Just the IR stops, everything else works fine. That makes it hard to tell when it stops because the playlist keeps rolling on. 2. Don't know about echo as I already have an IR repeater system and haven't tried the Slink-e's. The transmitting stops. I first notice it when I try to adjust the volume from CDJ (which usually works). The volume control is an IR signal sent to my lexicon MC-1. If CDJ is using SlinkeServ and the IR stops and then I try to use EzyLearn, it will not receive any IR signals. 3. I use the built in reciever and the transmitter supplied with the Slink-e. I have no others.
