Slinke loses touch with IR

I have a V2.6 Slinke and V1.32 Build 1923 (12/14/00) of CDJ. My problem is that anywhere between 5 minutes and 2 hours after starting CDJ the IR stops sending and receiving. This occurs if SlinkeServ is running or not. All the Slink to CD player stuff works OK. Restarting CDJ usually fixes the problem temporarily but I am about to get my second changer and really need the IR for changing inputs on the pre-amplifier.
