ctvremote VC++ problems

Has anyone tried to modify the demo apps to use custom device files? Using the Visual C++ demo, I tried to change it to use a quick device file that I created using the EZ-Learn program, but when I start the app, I get an error [21:50:52] (although this number seems to change if I make changes to the device file when I've made futile attempts to make it work) "Cannot open device file...." I tried a few of the other included device files and they don't seem to work either. In fact, the only file that seems to work is the Sony TV device file that is used in the demo. (Yes, I've remembered to copy the other device files into the same directory as the executable.) Argh! I've included a copy of my EZ-Learned file below for fun (although a bunch of the lines wrapped around when i pasted it in this window).
