>> The "file/save library" option doesn't work. It acts like it save things but really doesn't. You must save using the floppy icon in the library window. << Could you double check this? It seems to work for me. In fact it would be very strange if it behaved any differently than the icon beacuse these to items have the same message ID. >> CDJ and the CD player sometimes diagree. For example CDJ will think the CD is playing when it is not. Other times I will issue a command from CDJ and the CD doesn't respond. I would expect CDJ should be able to track the player since it gets status information back on the s-link bus. << This could be improved. CDJ updates itself with every bit of S-Link info that is returned. However sometimes when S-Link traffic is heavy, players will omit sending some reponses, thereby desychnonizing CDJ. I may added some additional time based mode polling to insure things stay on track. >> CDJ seems to get confused when a full screen window is deleted. Another window ends up in full screen mode (it was previously reduced size) << This seems to be built in to the MFC application framework I'm using. it may be a while before I stop using this and fix it. >> It would be nice if the library manager can optionally display the player/slot that it thinks a CD is in. It should also be possible to change the sort order from alphabetical to player/slot. Handy when you are first loading up CDs. It would also be nice to be able to display/sort by type. I expect a UI that looks like explorer when browsing files. This should make it easier to build playlists. << Many people have mentioned the same things and this is " in the works" >> BTW the slider UI looks nice for music ratings except it's hard to move the damn slider precisely. There should be a numeric display so you can see exactly what you are rating something. Of course I'm not entirely sure yet how the ratings are used. << They are used in conjuction with selecting music via the shuffle window. To be honest, I don't find them very useful and so I made them small to save space. >> BTW I could be missing how CDJ should be used and trying to do things the hard way. I would e happy if someone sets me stratight then :-) The print option appears to be a work in progress. The output is truncated. Today I wanted to print a list of CDs in particular category to give to someone so they don't end up buying a CD that we already ad. << Yes it is a work in progress. When the CD library changes so that you can sort and find by various criterion, so will the print option. The printing will get prettier too. Colby Responses To This Message
