>> Now my questions: Do any of the receivers that have both Ctrl-A1 and Ctrl-S "route" information between the two busses? Is the only way to communicate with all your S-Link devices to use two S-Link busses on the Slink-e? Can Slink-e route between the two protocols, on two busses? Does Slink-e support both of these protocols? How much do these protocols differ? << Control-S is much different that Control-A1 in the sense that it is unidirectional, only sending commands to a device (e.g. your DSS). In fact Control-S is just a wired version of the IR remote control commands without a carrier, using 5V for "on" periods and 0V for "off" periods. Many Control-A1 commands have no equivalent IR/Control-S command so I'm not sure that routing would be that feasible if it existed. Most importantly, you can't poll the state of a Control-S device like you can a Control-A1 one. As a mentioned before, the Slink-e does support the Control-S format, so you can control devices via Control-S if you plug them into the Control-S port. Colby
