I think that you have seen a bug that myself and Richard Malcolm-Smith also are experiencing. See the older post started on 8/12 by Richard titled: "Anyone got an older version of CDJ around?"
I had to go to a backup copy that I had from May to get it to work. I didn't have any other versions in between available.
And yes, the error I received was identical to yours. All other internet communications worked fine, just not CDJ.
