S-link send-binary command?

In the low-level.cde file, I find the following:

# slbX[binary] (Ignored on Slink-e 1.0) # # where X is a 0-3 decimal number indicating which S-Link port to use. Binary is a binary # string. This command is used to send data on the S-Link bus which consists of a number bits # not evenly divisible by 8. (snip)

Is this a new Slink-e 2.0 command? I don't see any way to send a partial byte via s-link in the current documentation.

What are the command bytes to send to the Slink-e to get it to transmit, say, "111000" over S-link port 1?

(I'm hoping that I _might_ be able to work around the lack of a "set_memo" command on my CX153 using this technique)

(I've looked at the class libraries, but couldn't figure it out...)
